Polymer DMT brings The Seas Between Us to The Place in London

A choreographic duet by Germany-based Taiwanese choreographer Lo Fang-Yun (羅芳芸) created in collaboration with Taiwanese dancer Chou Shu-Yi (周書毅) and Singaporean dancer Lee Mun Wai (李文偉). Inspired by the unresolved conflict across the Taiwan Strait, The Seas Between Us explores how political systems and cultural influences shape personal identity, behaviour and human relationships. Drawing from their distinct dance backgrounds and lived experiences, the performers navigate moments of difference, connection and tension through movement. The work approaches these questions through the language of the body – and opens up a multi-layered space for reflection, encounter and exchange.
