Revisit some of the best Taiwanese cultural events held across the UK
A live perfoemance mixing art, dance and technology, where a dancer comes face-to-face with her digital twin. Current/y is an immersive work by Taiwanese artist Chen Yi combining live performance, motion capture, game-engine technology, large-scale projection and an immersive spatial soundscape.

Following the historic win of 2026 International Booker Prize in May for Taiwan Travelogue, author Yang Shuang-zi and translator Lin King visited the UK again in August. They went to Edinburgh International Book Festival and Waterstone bookshop in Glasgow, to engage with British readers, writers, and publishers.

Taiwanese artist Tsai Yu-ting (蔡昱廷) has been selected for a 12-week residency at the Delfina Foundation in London, organized in partnership with the Cultural Division of the Taipei Representative Office in the U.K. He will be in residence from June 22 to Sept. 13.

Marking the 70th anniversary of Taiyupian —Taiwanese-language film— the Cultural Division of the Taipei Representative Office in the UK has partnered with King’s College London to launch the ‘Taiyupian 70th Anniversary Screenings and Symposium’.
On the evening of 19th May, Taiwan Travelogue won of the International Booker Prize — the major award in the world of English-translated literature. Written by Yáng Shuāng-zǐ and translated into English by Lin King, it made the first Taiwanese work ever to do so which set a milestone of Taiwanese literature.
Supported by the Ministry of Culture, the Queer East Festival 2026 features several Taiwanese films, shorts, artists, and writer to showcase the lively LGBTQ+ culture in Taiwan. The festival features many Taiwanese works, this diverse lineup highlights Taiwan's cinematic exploration of themes such as gender identity.
Hung Dance presented Push and Pull, a duet choreographed by Lai Hung-chung. Inspired by the balancing principles of Tai Chi, the work explores the dynamics of human relationships.
